AbstractWith the development of social economy， Taiwan start twelve years′ national basic education in 2011.In order to improve students′ quality and competitiveness of Taiwan， they relieve the entrance pressure.Free an exemption are the two core of twelve years′ national basic education.This paper interprets the connotation of Taiwan twelve years′ national basic education，then introduced the development of it，analyzes the implementation of its causes and possible defects.
