介词是一种用来表示词与词之间、词与句之间的关系的词，不能单独做句子成分。介词貌似简单，但当其与名词、动词、形容词等搭配起来就“变化多端”了，因此介词是英语中最活跃的词类之一， 其用法变化多样。中考对介词的考查主要是其基本用法和习惯搭配。现以近三年的中考试题为例，将介词常见考点梳理一遍。
一、对时间介词的考查

【考点点睛】
on常表示在具体的某一天或具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上等。
at多表示在某个时刻或瞬间，或用在节假日前表示“在……期间”。
in则用于月份、季节、年、年代、世纪等，或泛指一天的上午、下午、晚上。此外，“in +时间段”表示“在……之后”，常用于一般将来时。
“after +具体时刻”表示“在……之后”。
since后接时间点或过去时的句子，表示“自从……以来”。
for后接时间段，表示“持续一段时间”。
by表示“在……之前，不迟于，到……为止”，多与完成时态连用。

中考对表示地点或方位的介词的考查比较宽泛，在复习时，同学们需要掌握下列介词表示地点或方位的用法：
at用于较小的场所前（如建筑物、公共场所等）或用于门牌号码前。
in用于较大的地方前（如国家、城市、乡镇、地区等）。
on表示“在……上面”，即“与……表面相接触”。
over表示“在……正上方”，两者不接触。
under表示“在……正下方”，两者不接触。

中考对介词短语的考查主要体现在四个方面：“介词+名词”“be+形容词+介词”“动词+介词”和“介词+名词+介词”。同学们在备考过程中必须熟记常见搭配。
“介词+名词”： at noon“在中午”；at night“在晚上”；at work“在工作”；at times“有时”；at midnight“在午夜”；at the moment“此刻”；by bus“乘公共汽车”；by the way“顺便说”； by mistake“错误地”；in order“整整齐齐”；in English“用英语”；in fact“事实上”；on show“展出”；on duty“值日”；on foot“步行”；on business“出差”；on holiday“在休假”；on sale“在出售”；with pleasure“很乐意”等。
“be+形容词+介词”：be angry with“生（某人的）气”；be afraid of“害怕”；be busy with“忙于做……”；be good at“擅长于”；be full of“充满”；be kind to“对……和善”；be interested in“对……感兴趣”；be famous for“因……而著名”；be late for“迟到”；be popular with“受……欢迎”；be proud of“对……感到骄傲”；be ready for“为……准备好”；be satisfied with“对……满意”等。
“动词+介词”：agree with“同意”；ask for“请求”；hear from“收到（某人）的信”；hear of“听说”；look at“看”；look for“寻找”；look after“照顾”；pay for“付钱”；send for“派人去叫”；talk about“谈论”；think about“考虑”；wait for“等候”；write to“写信给……”；worry about“担心”；laugh at“嘲笑”；fall behind“落在……后面”；knock at“敲”等。
“介词+名词+介词”：with the help of sb.“在某人的帮助下”；at the foot of “在……脚下”；on the top of“在……顶端”；in the middle of “在……中间”；in the front of “在……前面”；in the east of“在……东部”；by means of“借助”；at the beginning of“起初”；by the end of“到……为止”；at the age of“在……岁时”；at the head of “在……前面”等。
