Abstract：The National Central City is described as the modern metropolis. And it is one of the significant national strategies， shouldering the heavy task of national missions， guiding the regional development， participating in international competition， and acting as ambassadors for their country. Considering the facts that China bears a great amount of population as the basic condition， and China should adapt to the new normal of economy as well as construct the new urban system with Chinese characteristics， it is indeed the important innovation to build a number of National Central Cities and thus promoting its core-competitiveness of economic and social development in the world， which is of great strategic significance to China. To promote the construction of the National Central City， China should solid the fundation of industries， highligt the leading role of reform and innovation， actively advance the supply-side structural reform， demonstrate the characteristics of regional culture， and further promote the open economy reaching a higher level of development.
