从8月27日到9月1日，大热美剧《英雄》世界巡回活动踏足东京、巴黎、香港、伦敦等城市，为第一季DVD及第二季首播进行宣传。在电视观众因为网络等新媒体分流而大量流失的情况下，新一季《英雄》能否克服困难，再创辉煌？―让我们一起拭目以待9月24日的第一集吧！（关于《英雄》的剧情简介，请参考CE: Teens 07年1月号）
Before its launch, Heroes didn’t sound really 1)promising: it was a 2)serialized story, about a group of 3)mutants who have the 4)daunting task of saving the world. This 5)undertaking, in itself, could be complex and 6)sticky. Moreover, it involved science fiction, a 7)genre that rarely does well on TV.
But the show doesn’t rely on superpowers. Its success is rooted in real, 8)down-to-earth characters, dealing with such 9)mortal 10)dilemmas as being a single mother, struggling with a language barrier, wrestling with a drug 11)addiction, or trying to live in the shadow of a big brother, the most common 12)archenemy around.
No character has 13)registered more with audiences than Hiro Nakamura, an office worker in Japan who knows only a few words of English, but comes to America to stop world destruction with his ability to bend time. Even more unbelievable than his power are his 14)exuberance and a “ner-say-die”pirit. He may well be one of the most 15)optimistic characters in American TV history.
“He’s such a joy to play,”said the actor Masi Oka. “He’s the kid we probably all once were, but couldn’t hold onto. There’s not enough characters on TV that have that much hope.”
On the other hand, Adrian Pasdar, who plays Nathan Petrelli, a politician with the ability to fly, said it was better to deal with the reality of the world than to ignore it.
“It’s there, in the newspaper 16)kiosk and on 17)CNN. You can’t get away from it,”he said. “I think people accept it as a basic 18)intrusion in life. Our show presents the state of the world, but with people willing to take extraordinary steps to change it.”
As they say, the show is basically about hope, which is probably the reason why fans all over the Net are expecting the coming season that much.
What to Expect in Season Two?
Tim Kring注1 told the media that the upcoming second season would constitute a new volume in the multi-volume series, with new characters and an entirely new storyline. “If you remember, the opening of the 19)pilot pronounced the 20)episode as the beginning of Volume 1,”Kring said in an interview. “Volume 1 comes to a conclusion at the end of Episode 23, and Volume 2 starts with the opening of Season Two. And Volume 2 is a different story.”
Kring added, “We could have new people, and new storylines, and new ideas, and new threats, and new bad guys, and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it’s not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It’s a little more the 24 model, than the Lost model注2.”
“Heroes needs to 21)evolve, and if we are positing an idea that this is happening all over the world to many, many people, then we get to see some of those people, and see how their story fits in.”

新季看点
蒂姆•克林对媒体透露说，该电视剧是多卷系列剧，即将开播的第二季将是全新的一部，会有新角色和全新的故事情节。“如果你们还记得的话，电视首播时以第一集作为第一部的开始，”克林在一次采访中说到。“第一部随着第23集结束而完结。第二部则在第二季拉开序幕时开始。第二部将是一个完全不同的故事。”
克林补充说：“我们会加入新角色、新故事、新想法、新危机、新坏蛋以及新英雄。所以我会让观众做好心理准备，让他们知道这不是仅仅围绕这一部分人展开的连续剧。这部作品用的更像是《反恐24小时》的模式，而不是《迷失》的模式。”
“《英雄》需要不断进化。如果我们假定这种变化发生在全世界很多、很多人身上，那我们就会见到他们中的一些人，看看他们的故事如何融入进来。”
