武汉国际博览中心是湖北省、武汉市重点项目，是武汉四新新区开发建设的“引爆点“。项目占地6253亩，总投资500亿元人民币，包括一期展馆、二期国际会议中心、洲际酒店、海洋乐园、假日酒店，及超高层写字楼、商业地产开发、景观水系、生态居住区等，是以展览、展示为主导功能，集会展、科技、文化、商务、休闲、旅游、居住于一体的多功能复合型的国际博览城。

项目位于武汉市二环线上临江地段，堪称“长江展厅”。长江水岸线达2.7公里，占据武汉最大滨江地块。区域内规划有“四纵五横”的主要交通动线，地铁6和11号线从中穿越，交通便利，距中心城区15分钟车程。

武汉国际博览中心展馆于2011年投入使用，展馆室内展览面积为15万平方米，室外为4万平方米。作为国内领先、国际一流的会展场馆和华中地区最大的综合性博览城，可承接国际国内大型展览、会议和活动。

Wuhan International Expo Center （WIEC）， an important project in Wuhan， is a tipping point in the development and construction of Wuhan New District. The project covers an area of 6253Mu with a total investment of 50billion RMB. WIEC consists of an Exhibition Hall in Phase I as well as International Convention Center， InterContinental Hotel， Ocean Park， Holiday Inn， Super Highrise office building， Commercial Real Estate， River Landscape and Residential Area in Phase 2. It provides as a multifunctional International Expo Zone for exhibitions and conventions and also other functions like business center， entertainment， tourism and living spaces.

WIEC is located at the 2nd ring road beside the Yangtze River. The project is called as Yangtze Exhibition Hall because it covers 2.7km shoreline of the Yangtze River which occupies the largest shoreline in Wuhan. Transportation here is convenient as there are four north-southern main roads and five west-eastern main roads as well as metro line6 and line11. It is only 15 minutes drive from the center city.

The venue of WIEC opened in 2011.The indoor exhibition area is 150.000 m2 and outdoor is 40.000 m2.WIEC is capable of holding the international and domestic largescale exhibitions，conferences and events.It is the largest comprehensive expo center in central China，leading domestic and world-class venue.
