试题特点
英语中的否定比较复杂。一般说来，主要有下面几种形式：用not， no， never， neither， nor及nothing， none， nobody等否定词；用hardly， seldom， rarely， little， few等半否定词；用dis-， un-， in-， im-， ir-， il-等否定前缀及-less否定后缀；用结构too...to；用介词without， out of， beyond。
另外，对否定的意义要熟悉。有的句子形式上否定主句，而实际上否定从句；有的句子形式上是否定，而意义上表示肯定；有的句子形式上是全否定，而意义上表示部分否定。
临场技巧
一方面，大家要掌握常见的否定、半否定词；另一方面，要掌握常见的含否定意义的语法结构。同时，还应该注意对话中的转折词及语气的应用。
1. 形式上否定主句，而实际上否定从句。这类句子主要是指当主句的主语是第一人称、动词为think， believe， suppose等的一般现在时，又没有副词修饰时所接的宾语从句。如：I don’t think he will come with you.（我认为他不会和你一起来。）
2. 形式上是否定，而意义上是肯定。句子的形式与意义不一致，形式上是否定，而实际上是肯定。主要有下列情况：
1）not only...but also，can’t help doing，nothing but， can’t...too等句子；
2）双重否定；
3. 形式上是肯定，而意义上是否定。主要有下列情况：
1）半否定词hardly， seldom， rarely， little， few及某些介词。如：We can hardly believe what he said just now. （我们不能相信他刚才所讲的话。）
2）too...to。如：Sorry， the box is too heavy for me to move. （很抱歉，盒子太重，我移不动。）
3）词缀。如：He often says that he dislikes playing football. （他常说他不喜欢踢足球。）
4. 形式上是全否定，而意义上是部分否定。当否定词与all， both， every， always等词连用时，形式上是全部否定，而事实上是部分否定。

A. He will get there as early as required.
B. He won’t get there as early as required.
C. She doesn’t think of that.
