I Wish You Enough
Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, “I love you and I wish you enough”.
The daughter replied, “Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom”. They kissed and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking, “Did you ever say goodbye to someone knowing it would be forever?”
“Yes, I have,” I replied. “Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever goodbye?”
“I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is ― the next trip back will be for my funeral,” she said.
“When you were saying goodbye, I heard you say, ‘I wish you enough’. May I ask what that means?”
She began to smile. “Thats a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone”. She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. “When we said, ‘I wish you enough’, we were wanting for the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them”. Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final goodbye.
She then began to cry and walked away.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate him, a day to love him, but then an entire life to forget him.
Only if you wish, send this to the people you will never forget and remember to send it back to the person who sent it to you. If you dont send it to anyone it may mean that you are in such a hurry that you have forgotten your friends.

愿你尽享世间美好
最近，我在机场无意中听到一对母女的对话。她们站在安全门旁，互相拥抱告别。母亲说：“我爱你，愿你尽享世间美好。”
女儿答道：“妈妈，我们一起共度的时光比什么都重要。你给我的爱正是我所需要的。我也愿你尽享世间美好。”她们吻别之后，女儿离开了机场。那位母亲走到窗边，那正是我所坐的地方。我看到她站在那里，忍不住想要流泪。我无意侵犯她的隐私。但她主动和我交谈起来。“你有没有过和谁说了‘再见’，而你明知道那是你们最后一次见面?”
“是的，我有过。”我说，“不过，请原谅，为什么这是最后一次见面呢?”
“我年纪这么大了，而她又住得那么远。摆在我面前的是许多挑战。而事实上，她下一次回到这里，可能是为了操办我的葬礼。”她说。
“当你们道别的时候，我听你说了句‘愿你尽享世间美好’，我可以问问这句话的含义吗?”
她开始微笑。“那是我们家族世代传承下来的一个祝愿。我的父母就曾对身边的所有人这么说。”她稍作停顿，抬起头似乎在回忆更具体的细节。然后，她笑得更深了，“当我们说这句话时，表达的意思是希望对方的生命里充满足够多的美好事物，支撑她走过接下来的人生旅程。”她转过身面朝我，说出下面这段话，像是翻出了记忆深处的一个片段，与我分享：
“我希望你拥有足够的阳光，好让你永远保持乐观的态度，不管生活看上去是多么灰暗；
“我希望你拥有足够的雨水，好让你更加感激那些阳光普照的日子；
“我希望你拥有足够的幸福，好让你长久精神饱满迎接生活；
“我希望你拥有足够的苦难，好让你感觉哪怕是生命里最小的快乐也会显得大些；
“我希望你拥有足够的收获，好让你得到满足；
“我希望你拥有足够的损失，好让你珍惜你所拥有的一切；
“我希望你拥有足够的问候，好让你度过每一次离别。”
她终于忍不住开始哭泣，在我眼前消失。
人们常说，找到一个对你来说很特别的人只需一分钟，感激他的存在需要一小时，去爱他需要一天，可是要忘了他却要用去你的整个人生。
只要你愿意，把它转发给你生命中难以忘却的亲人。如果你不转发，那就意味着你已经忙得忘却了你的亲人。
