To be specifically, I’ll try to analysis the culture values that driven my teaching.

I. The morning check shows the Small Power Distance of the cultural values.

To begin with, let me talk about the morning check. It’s the beginning of children’s school day. It shows the small power distance of the cultural values. It’s mainly student centered .when the students come to our classroom, we greet with each other warmly. Then I work as a doctor―check their hands and face to see whether there are wounds. I check their throat with a flashlight. If someone’s throat is inflamed. I should ask the parents to take the child to hospital.

II. The Situational Teaching Method shows the low MAS of the cultural values

The most frequently used method is the Situational Teaching Method. I usually describe a situation for the children with languages, pictures, and teaching tools. Then, I give them 5 minutes to talk about the situation freely, I will invite some students to role play the situation and solve the problem with their own methods. Next, I’ll ask the other students to give a comment and more suggestions on their performance. Finally, I will give my suggestions and send some gift for the student who perform best. Since the situations are mainly comes from the daily life which aims to foster children’s social adaptation. I try to use average students as the norm and ask every student to find their suitable role to role play the situation. It reflects the low MAS.

III. The Gaming Teaching Method shows the individualism of the cultural values

The most welcomed method is the Gaming Teaching Method. Every little child is fond of game by nature. Most of the game is playing in the outdoor. I will give a clear demonstration of the game rules and ask every student to obey the rules accordingly. Different group will compete with each other which make the game more wonderful. What I should do is monitor the process and take part in the game if it is needed. The Gaming Teaching Method is the symbol of individualism. Sub-grouping in the game varies from one situation to the next based on the task at hand. So I usually divide the student into different groups according to the types of the game. In order to make sure equal, I give the strictly impartial treatments to different students. Anyone should obey the game rules to insure justice. The Gaming Teaching Method shows the Small Power Distance.

IV. Finger Play shows the student-centered of the cultural values

The most effective teaching method for the little child is Finger Play. Finger Play can foster children’s language ability, finger flexibility, and thinking ability.

After teaching them the finger play, I’ll invite every student to show the finger play to other students. Then, I’ll ask the good students to help the relative bad students to improve their finger play. By this way, students have more time to communicate and interact. If every student can do the finger play well, they’ll fell very happy and confident. After school, they would like to show the finger play to their family members. They are proud of becoming the little teacher to teach their family members the finger play. This is the student-centered education. From the time aspect, It belongs to the monochronic time arrangement.
