Yuxi-Mengzi railway passenger train open the first trip

4月28日8时42分，首趟昆明开往蒙自的K9652/9653次列车满载着970名旅客，缓缓驶出昆明站，标志玉蒙铁路正式开通客运业务，让滇南人民的铁路梦得以实现。

滇南是云南最早拥有铁路的地区，但2003年以来，由于昆河米轨铁路线路老旧、技术等级差等原因，暂停办理客运业务，当地百姓只能通过公路出行。

自去年9月26日玉蒙铁路试运行后，为早日开行客运，昆明铁路局从设备、管理等方面进行了充分准备。此次开行的昆明至蒙自直达客车，全列空调硬座，经昆玉铁路、玉蒙铁路，全程运行时长3小时55分。

玉蒙铁路沿线历史文化悠久，自然风光秀丽，民族风情浓郁，旅游资源丰富。昆明局党委宣传部提前与地方宣传部门联系，利用电视、报纸、网络等媒体，宣传玉蒙铁路开行客车消息，并邀请了21家媒体的记者上车采访，对首趟客车开行进行宣传报道。

At 8：42 on April 28， the first train of Kunming to Mengzi K9652/9653 loaded with 970 passengers， slowly pulled out of Kunming Railway Station， it marks Yuxi-Mengzi Railway the official opening of the passenger business， so that the people of southern Yunnan’s Railway Dream would be achieved.

South Yunnan is the first place in Yunnan to have railways， but since 2003， because of Kuming-Hekou old meter-gauge railway line， poor technical level， passenger service was temporarily paused， the local people can only travel by road.

Since the operation of Yuxi-Mengzi Railway on September 26 last year， for the opening could be earlier， Kunming Railway Bureau had fully prepared from equipment and management .The opening of Kunming to Mengzi direct train all are air-conditioned seats， via Kuming-Yuxi Railway and Yuxi-Mengzi Railway， the whole length is 3 hours 55 minutes.

Along the Yuxi-Mengzi Railway the places had a long history， natural scenery are beautiful， rich tourism resources. Kunming Bureau’s Party Committee Propaganda Department in advance contact with the local propaganda department， television， newspapers， networks and other media are used to publicize the opening of Yuxi-Mengzi Railway ， and 21 media reporters are invited to get into the train and interview，publicizing and reporting the first trains’ opening.
