英语课前五分钟的演讲，学生非常感兴趣，没有不积极参加的。即使学习很差的学生也准备得非常认真。演讲时，大家都很认真听，对讲得精彩的地方，会报以热烈的掌声。短短的五分钟，集中了学生的注意力，使学生在轻松愉快的气氛中开始对课文的学习，极大地调动了学生学习英语的积极性。以往，学生读一篇文章往往一目十行，一过就忘，有的甚至不爱阅读。自从开展这个活动后，学生能有目的地进行课外阅读。他们不但认真阅读教材，还广泛阅读报刊、杂志，然后把他们得到的信息告诉给大家，使他们的知识更加广泛，视野更加开阔。与此同时，笔者教他们如何积累资料，如何做读书笔记。在以后的阅读中，学生不再是一目十行了，他们都养成了良好的习惯。他们在阅读中获得了益处，也得到了乐趣。

2. 锻炼了学生的胆量和口头表达能力，增强了他们的自信心和勇气

摘要：本文结合作者将高三英语报刊阅读和我校省级课题“以导引学 以练促学”课堂教学新模式的有关要求，对英语报刊语感阅读教学、课堂教学模式创新做了大胆的尝试。

特别是将“以导引学 以练促学”与Cooperative Learning 和Creative Thinking教学方法结合使用，促进了学生的自主学习、合作学习意识，创新了学生的学习方式、思维方式，推动了学生随时学习、终身学习的理念树立，最终促进英语综合阅读能力的提高。

缘起：努力让学生接触生动有趣、原汁原味的英语阅读材料，如《21世纪报》、《李阳疯狂英语》、《英语广场》等，有助于提高英语阅读的时效性、新颖性，提高师生的英语学习兴趣，培养学生的英语语感阅读能力，最终促进英语教学。另外，高考英语命题注重时效性、生活性、新颖性，命题老师对近期的英文原作进行改装、重整、提高。让学生通过报刊阅读，尝试揣摩命题者的命题思路，也是我的教学目标之一。

摘 要 参加英语演讲比赛对于提高大学生的演讲能力和英语综合应用能力至关重要。本文以河北省高校“世纪之星”英语演讲比赛暨“外研社杯”全国大学生英语演讲比赛为例，分析在英语演讲比赛中获胜选手的必备素质，并提出了相应的培训策略。

近年来，随着中外交往日益频繁，英语的交际性、实用性愈发凸显，新世纪社会与经济的发展需要具备高水平外语能力，特别是英语口语技能的人才。大学生英语综合应用能力的培养和提高越来越受到有识之士的重视。河北省高校“世纪之星”英语演讲比赛暨“外研社杯”全国大学生英语演讲比赛，作为我省影响范围和参与面最广的赛事，为大学生提供了展现英语水平和自我风采的平台，增强了学生们学习英语的兴趣和信心，激发了他们提高英语口语的热情。作为专门培养未来中学英语教师的英语教育专业，邢台学院外语系（以下简称我系）非常重视学生英语演讲能力的培养，并为此作出了很多努力，也取得了一些成绩。笔者指导的学生在第十二届、第十三届河北省高校“世纪之星”英语演讲比赛中分别获得一等奖和二等奖。作为指导教师，笔者荣获指导教师一等奖和二等奖。一直以来，我系积极鼓励学生参加各种类型的英语演讲大赛，并以参赛为契机进一步推动我系英语教育专业教学水平的提高，同时也为提高学生的英语综合应用能力提供了平台。通过对英语演讲参赛选手的选拔和培训，我们发现凡是在演讲比赛中获胜的选手，都应具备以下的素质：

一、英语演讲参赛选手应具备的素质

1.博的知识和深厚的思想底蕴

英语演讲能力是英语语言综合应用能力和交际能力的具体反映。成功的演讲者不仅需要语言基础知识和标准的语音语调，还需要设备社会、历史、哲学等学科的知识，在日常生活中还要形成阅读英文报刊杂志的习惯，在获取知识的同时，学习在具体情境中广泛而灵活地运用学到的知识，逐渐形成独立的思维能力和判断能力，这样才能提高自己的认知能力和解决实际问题的创新能力。

2.高的写作水平和逻辑思维能力

一、激发兴趣，形成英语学习的良好动机

众所周知，兴趣最具有动力作用，以转化为激发人们进行某种活动的动力。著名教育家乌申斯基说：“没有任何兴趣，而被迫进行的学习，会扼杀学生掌握知识的意愿。”既然学生的积极性在教学过程中起到如此关键的作用，那么怎样才能激发学生学习英语的兴趣呢?

1．充分利用多媒体设备，丰富语言教学资源。随着多媒体设备走进我们的课堂，互联网为我们的英语教学提供了丰富的语言教学资源。针对不同的教材内容，我有选择地使用多媒体教学设备。如在讲授高一《英语》Unitl，Friendship时，我组织学生课后观看了电影《金氏漂流记》（Castauay）。这不仅激发了学生对英语学习的浓厚兴趣，而且也让学生通过影片中主人公的经历，了解到友谊的重要性。

2．课前3分钟英语演讲。每节课前3分钟安排―个演讲主题，让学生上讲台演讲。学生从确定演讲内容、收集相关信息、写好演讲稿到最后脱稿在课堂上展示自己的成果。这样培养了学生的自信心和参与性。我班组织了主题为“I have a dream”的英语演讲赛，学生模仿马丁・路德・金的语音语调演讲，别有一番兴致。

3.设英文图书角。图书角的所有书籍或报纸都来自班上的学生和老师捐助。广泛阅读英文原著或英文报纸，可培养学生良好的阅读习惯，因为学生的英语词汇量提高了，自然就提高了英语的学习兴趣。电影系列《哈利・波特》（Harry Potter）的上映，吸引了很多学生。J．K．Rowling的原版小说也成了学生追捧的热门书籍。我从书市买来这些书放在图书角，让学生轮流借阅，不仅拉近了与学生的距离，也让他们从英文原著中感受到英语语言之美。

二、树立自信，形成克服困难的意志

教学评价是课堂教学的重要组成部分，对教和学起着极为重要的导向、激励、调控作用，影响着教学效果。在“一切为了学生的发展”这一新理念的倡导下，英语教师应采取肯定、积极、富有激励性的方法评价学生。激励性评价可以激活课堂教学，激发学生参与课堂教学的积极性，促进学生的主体性活动。一个学生经常受到鼓励就会增强自信；生活在表扬的荣耀中就会追求上进，学会感激。评价用得恰当，平庸的学生也会聪明起来。

英语在法学学习中具有十分重要的地位，为加强学生的英语学习，形成学习英语的良好氛围，提高我院学生英语综合水平，寓教于乐，激发学生的学习兴趣，丰富学生课余文化生活，创建良好的校园文化氛围。在我院05级学生的热情倡导下和团总支的大力支持下，决定在我院组织开展“英语沙龙”活动。现将具体活动内容策划如下：

活动内容简介

一、成立“英语角”

1、活动内容：“英语角”的成立主要以锻炼英文口头表达能力，为同学们提供良好的英语沟通环境为目的，通过同学们的交流互动提高口语能力，由辅导老师对语法知识、阅读能力、解题技巧作专门讲解。集学习性、交流性于一体，与学院的外语协会组织的英语角有所区别。这个英语角的学习性质比例较重，为成员营造了浓厚的全英文交流气氛，促进同学们英语水平的提升。
