I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China. Everybody likes it because it's a family get-together. You see it is called"Mid-Autumn Day", so it often comes in September or October. It is on the 15th of the 8th of the lunar month. Now, let's say something about this interesting festival.

Firstly, I'd like to say something about the moon. I like it very much because I want to be an astronaut in the future. That day the moon is round, big, just like a beautiful plate hanging on the blue cloth. When I see the moon, I will remember the ancient myths——the godess Chang Er and her little rabbit are playing under the tree which Wu Gang grows. I will also think about Armstrong's first moonwalk. I will also miss the friends in Tai-wan island, in Macao and Chinese people who are abroad. I know they are missing us very much, too.

Secondly, I'11 say something about the tradition on Mid-Autumn Day. Look!There's a big tree in a garden of a Chinese fami-ly. All the family members are sitting around a big table under the tree in the open air. They are eating the mooncakes and admiring the full moon in the sky. That is a family reunion dinner. The mooncakes and the moon represent the love from a family. I think this is one of the most valuable things in the world.

Thirdly,it is a very good opportunity to make three wishes on Mid-Autumn Day. My wishes are: the first, I, an astronaut in the future, would like to go to the moon one day, and stay with the sky and stars; the second, I hope every person in the world will stay with family, share love from the family forever; the third, I hope everybody's dream will come true.

That is the Mid-Autumn Day in my mind. I will always re-member: East or West, home is best.

一、元认知概述

上世纪七十年代,美国认知心理学家J?H?Flavell正式提出了元认知这一概念,随后引发了一系列有关元认知理论的研究,并逐步成为心理学研究领域的热门话题。对元认知的定义,不同的心理学家有不同的诠释。美国斯坦福大学心理学家弗拉维尔(Flavell)认为,元认知是“反映或调节认知活动的任何一方面的知识或认知活动”。美国耶鲁大学认知心理学家斯腾伯格(stemberg)通过将元认知与认知进行对比来揭示元认知含义:元认知是关于认知的认知;认知包含对世界的知识以及运用这种知识去解决问题的策略,而元认知涉及对个人的知识和策略的监测、控制和理解。我国的心理学家董奇指出,元认知实质上是人对认知活动的自我意识和自我调整;张庆林则把元认知解释为是一个人对自己的认知加工的自我觉察、自我评价和自我调节。

二、调查研究

(一)被试

我们随机整群抽取广州市聚德中学初三(1)班为实验班(40人,其中男生18人,女生22人);初三(2)班为对照班(4J4人,其中男生24人,女生20人)。

(二)实验材料

元认知策略自我提示卡根据前言中对元认知的理论分析,同时参考其他研究者的元认知训练材料,我们自行设计了《初中学生英语写作的元认知策略自我提示卡》。提示卡内容如下:①我认真审题了吗?要表达的主题思想是什么?②我能想起我所看过的书(包括课本和课外书)与此主题相关或相近的文章吗?⑧我能用书上(包括课本与课外书)出现过的句子来表达相关的主题吗?④我能写出与主题相关的五个关键词吗?⑤我的句子表达正确吗?有无语法、词汇错误?⑥我的文章有需要修改的吗?前后测的写作材料我们以“中秋节”作为前测题目,于2005年9月进行了前测;又采用了2006年1月份的英语期末考试卷中的英语作文——“过生日”作为后测材料。前后测材料都由相同的两位教师按照同样的评分标准进行批改。作文评分标准本研究借用广州市初中英语会考使用的英语作文评分标准,来衡量前后测作文的质量。实验教师仔细阅读每篇作文,以选词、语法、组织、句子结构和想象力作为衡量所有作文质量的判断依据。两名参与评分的英语教师利用上述评分方法进行评分,前后测的英语作文的得分范围都为0~10分。我们将这两位教师的作文评改分数取平均值,作为学生的英语作文成绩。在参与作文评分之前,两位教师要接受训练,直到使用这套方法达到熟练程度。这两位教师评分的一致性为0.80。

三、实验程序

(一)前测

以“中秋节”为题进行前测。要求:把你在中秋节晚上发生的情况用简单的英语表达出来,字数在80字左右,满分为10分。

(二)英语写作元认知训练

在本训练过程中,实验班与对照班的英语教学由原任课教师担任;两个班教学内容完全一致,只是实验班增设英语元认知训练措施。

具体做法如下:

①按照学校的正常教学安排,实验班与对照班每周二下午都有一节英语写作课。

②在实验班的英语写作课前十分钟,教师进行英语写作元认知策略的讲解,或师生、同学之间就英语写作的元认知知识和策略进行讨论,内容包括前述的元认知训练内容。十分钟后,学生把实验教师编制的《初中学生英语写作的元认知策略自我提示卡》放在书桌左上角,以便进行自我监控练习。学生在写作前先看卡上的提示问题,然后再进行思考,写作时按卡上的要求做。此时,教师可在课堂里巡视并进行指导。

③对照班没有进行任何元认知训练,按传统方法进行写作训练。

(三)后测

经过为期三个月的训练后,进行英语期末考试。作文题目为《过生日》,要求在80字左右,满分为10。以试卷作文得分作为后测成绩。

(四)实验结果

1.实验班与对照班英语写作前后测成绩T检验

我们对实验班与对照班学生的英语写作前后测成绩作了T检验,从整体上考察了元认知训练对被试英语写作成绩的影响,其结果见表l。

从表1和表2中可以看出,在不增加教学时间的情况下,运用英语写作元认知训练方法,能有效地提高初中学生的英语写作水平。这可能性的原因是:实验教师通过对英语写作策略性知识的讲解及运用英语写作策略知识的示范等,可以让学生对英语作文有大致的了解,从而排除了对英语作文的恐惧心理。实验教师在英语写作课上组织师生之间、同学之间讨论英语写作策略,包括如何界定范围、制定计划、自我评价、自我改错以及自我强化等策略,有利于学生对英语写作的细节有较为详细的了解。不少学生经过英语写作元认知训练,懂得在英语写作中如何下笔。再经过三个月的英语写作操作训练,实验班的学生就能按《初中学生英语写作的元认知策略的自我提示卡》进行自我监控练习。这就调动了他们学习英语作文的主动性,并使之培养了一定的调控能力。尤其是英语学习中、低能力组的学生,经过英语写作元认知训练后,英语写作农了较大的进步。据四名英语学习低能力组的学生反映:以前在英语写作小测、考试中经常得0分,但经过英语写作元认知识训练后,进行英语写作时都可以写出几个英语单词或短语了。而高能力组的学生经过英语写作元认知训练后,则更能系统掌握英语写作的元认知策略,对高质量地进行英语写作就更有信心和把握了。这说明,英语写作元认知训练对提高初中生英语写作能力有很大的促进作用。在研究中,我们还发现,有一部分初中学生还没有掌握最确的元认知知识和策略,只会盲目地死记硬背,即使优秀的学生,一旦遇到需采用不同策略的情境时,也感到束手无策。因此,有必要对初中学生的英语写作策略训练深入进行研究。对英语写作元认知策略的训练,在国内还是一个较薄弱的环节。未来研究应设计出一整套元认知策略教学体系,以有计划、系统地训练学生运用多种策略的能力。这可能是大面积提高初中学生英语写作能力的有效途径。

首先,目的明确---主备试讲活动要求,根据七级的教学任务安排主备试讲活动,提出英语课堂教学问题,民汉老师们互相研讨交流,共同研究并解决英语教学中遇到的困惑,每位老师积极发言并针对提出的十个问题进行讨论:新教材中英语教学不同课时的处理问题;如何提高学生课内外学英语的兴趣;如何上好听说课-----对话教学;如何上好阅读课-----课文教学;提高英语阅读课的课堂效率的技巧;英语预习导学案的模式;如何把小组合作应用于英语课堂教学;单词学习的技巧、对话背诵及课文背诵的检查如何落实;课堂上怎样落实英语书写;英语教学中的其他困惑。
