Summer is not just about unbearable
insolation[暴晒] and high temperature. As the days get hotter and hotter, a new anime season is on its way. For fans, there’s always hope for a better season. And believe it or not, I think this July could be IT.
I’ve got to admit, a major part of my faith comes from the fact that Nurarihyon no Mago (Grandchild of Nurarihyon) has finally been adapted into anime. The story is about Rikuo Nura, a seemingly[表面上] average
schoolchild that is actually one-quarter demon, and lives in a house full of spirits along with his grandfather. Although Rikuo is set to be the next clan[氏族] head, he tries to be a normal human by always doing good deeds. However, his blood makes him the target of monsters and spirits and endangers his friends, so he decides to take his position as Young Head of the Nura House to saves both humans and demons…
Nurarihyon no Mago is a dark horse. Of course, it is a typical Weekly Shounen Jump注1 story with an ordinary boy finding his unusual self in the face of danger. Yet the author, Shiibashi Hiroshi, has
managed to throw all those Japanese myths and legends into the mix to give you an interesting tale from a demon’s perspective. His old-fashioned style goes well with the supernatural folklore[民间传说]
background, which makes me worry that the anime artwork might not be as vintage[老式的].
Come to think of it, this summer’s must-watch list somehow embraces[包含] a darker touch. Shiki (Corpse Demon), for example, is about mysterious deaths
happening in a quiet village. The original story is
written by Fuyumi Ono, the famous novelist best known for her Twelve Kingdoms, while its manga adaptation is drawn by Ryu Fujisaki, the author of Hoshin Engi. Let’s just hope that the anime won’t fail Ono’s reflection[反思] on human nature and Fujisaki’s bizarre[奇异的] style.
On the other hand, Kuroshitsuji II will
premiere[初演] in July with a new butler[管家] and a new master, and the third season of Black Lagoon will be adapted into OVA注2. Sequels always give us mixed feelings. Whenever the news comes up, there are heated debates throughout the net: some are excited,
some are okay, some are aggravated[被激怒的],
and some have lost their faith. For better or worse, the former will be a hit, and the latter remains one of the best action anime of the past years. Just no reason to miss them, right?
夏天不光只有难受的暴晒和酷暑的气温。随着日子愈发炎热,新一季动画即将到来。粉丝们总希望这一季比过往更精彩。信不信由你,我认为这个七月有可能做到这一点。
必须承认的是,我的信心大部分源自《滑头鬼之孙》终于得以改编为动画这件事情。这是一个关于奴良陆生的故事。这个表面看来很平凡的男生其实有四分之一的妖怪血统,和爷爷一起住在满是鬼怪的家里。尽管陆生注定要成为下一任族长,他总是尽力做好事,希望让自己更像一个普通人类。然而,妖怪血统让他成为妖魔鬼怪的袭击目标,也给他的伙伴们带来了危险。陆生因此决定成为奴良组少头目,以拯救人类和
妖怪……
《滑头鬼之孙》是一匹黑马。当然,“平凡少年在危难关头找到不凡自我”这种故事确实是典型的《周刊少年JUMP》风格,但作者椎桥宽成功地把各种日本神话与传说糅合起来,从妖怪的角度给读者讲述了一个有趣的故事。他的老派画风与超自然的民间传说背景相映成趣,但我担心动画的画面未必能如此复古。
现在想起来,这个夏天的必看动画似乎都有点暗黑的味道,比如《尸鬼》讲的是发生在一个平静村庄里的神秘死亡事件。故事原作为小野不由美――这位著名小说家最为人所熟知的作品是《十二国记》。漫画《封神演义》的作者藤崎龙将其改编为漫画。希望这部动画能体现出小野对人性的反思以及藤崎的怪异
画风吧。
另一边厢,出现新管家和新主人的
《黑执事2》将于七月开播,而第三季的
《黑礁》也将改编为OVA。续集总是让我们喜忧参半。每当这类消息出现时,网上总会争辩得热火朝天――有些人兴奋莫名,有些人不太在意,有些人火冒三丈,还有些人早已失去信心。无论结果是好是坏,前者都会走红,而后者始终是近年来最优秀的动作动画之一。没有理由错过,对吧?
