一、take 表示乘（坐）某种交通工具。例如：

He takes a bus to go to school every day.

他每天乘公共汽车上学。

[特别提示] take 是一个动词，后面接具体的交通工具，且在表示该交通工具的名词前一般应有冠词等修饰语。例如：

Mr Smith often takes a train to work.

史密斯先生经常乘火车上班。

二、take表示“拿、取”之意，后面常可带宾语，它强调将某人或某物从说话地点带到其它地方去。例如：

Could you take my bag to the classroom， please?

请你把我的书包拿到教室去好吗？

[特别提示] bring也有“拿、带”之意，但动作的“方向”与take 恰好相反。bring表示将某人或某物从别处带到说话地点。例如：

Lily， please bring me a cup of tea.

莉莉，请给我端杯茶来。

三、take表示“花费”之意，其常用句型为：“It takes sb. some time （money）to do sth.”表示“某人花多少时间（金钱）做某事”，注意后面动词前的to不可丢掉。例如：

It takes him an hour to do his homework in the evening.

晚上他要花一小时做作业。

It took me five to buy this book.

我花了5元钱买这本书。

四、take 表示“吃、喝”之意，与eat， drink， have 意思相近，但表示“吃药”时通常只用take。例如：

Will you take a glass of milk?

你要喝杯牛奶吗？

You must take the medicine after meals.

你一定要在饭后吃药。

五、take 表示“(顾客在商店内)选取，买下”，相当于buy， get 或have。例如：

That’s cheap. I’ll take it.

那很便宜，我买下了。

六、含take 的常见短语。

1. take exercise 运动，锻炼

Don’t eat too much. You must take more exercise.

不要吃太多，你应该多运动。

2. take off 脱下， 起飞

Take off your clothes， they are wet.

脱掉你的衣服，它们都湿了。

The plane will take off at three o’clock.

飞机将在3点钟起飞。

3. take a look(at) = have a look（at）看一看

May I take a look at your new pen?

我可以看一看你的新钢笔吗？

4. take pictures照相

You can’t take pictures here.

你们不能在这儿拍照。

5. take a seat = have a seat坐下

Please come in and take a seat.

请进来坐坐。

6. take a walk 散步

Taking a walk is good for you.

散步对你有好处。

7. take a rest = have a rest 休息一下

Let’s take a rest.

我们休息一下吧。

8. take away拿走

Don’t take away books from the library.

不要把书从图书馆拿走。

9. take down 取下

Please take down the old picture on the wall.

请把墙上那幅旧画取下来。

10. take care of 照顾（=look after）
