一、look， sound， feel， taste， smell

【考点解读】look， sound， feel， taste和smell都可用作“特殊连系动词”，后面都可以接形容词作表语，但它们表达的意思不同。

look表示某物或某人的外表、情绪等“看上去怎么样”。例如：

The lake looks very beautiful.这湖看起来非常漂亮。

She looked very angry.她看上去很生气。

His face looked a little pale.他的脸色看上去有点苍白。

sound表示声音、话语、乐曲等“听起来怎么样”，后面可以接形容词，也可以接名词。例如：

It sounded very good to me.对我来说，这听起来非常好。

It sounds a good idea.这听起来是个好主意。

feel表示某人“感觉怎么样”或某物“摸上去怎么样”。例如：

She felt very sad.她感到非常难过。

The cloth feels soft.这布料摸上去是柔软的。

taste表示食物、药品等“尝起来味道怎么样”。例如：

【解题指要】解答以look， sound， feel， taste或smell作为选项的单选题时，要以看主语为“抓手”。例如若主语是food， soup， medicine等，我们不可能选sound，因为这些东西不可能“听起来怎么样”，若主语是mountain， lake， building等，我们不可能选taste或smell。因为这些东西不可能“尝起来或闻起来味道怎么样”。
