可以毫不夸张地说，高达（一译“钢弹”）系列作品就是日本人的《星球大战》，其中寄托了他们对机器人、武器、战争和人类未来的思考。从1979年第一部系列动画诞生至今，每一代高达的面世必定会引起广泛关注，其动画也必定稳居当年收视排行榜的前列。距离上一套SEED DESTINY系列整整三年之后，一部全新的高达动画将于今年10月首播――

A 15-second trailer[预告片] broadcast in Japan in June, officially announced the coming of Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the newest series in the Gundam franchise[特许经营权]. The story takes place in 2307 AD, which is different from the Universal Century (UC) calendar of the first Gundam series, the Cosmic Era (CE) calendar of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and the four other previously[之前] used calendar systems. It will be the first time a Gundam animated project officially takes place in our time.

The main characters are four Gundam pilots from Celestial Being, a mysterious non-profit military organization aimed at ending the war. Sunrise注1 has confirmed the involvement of Yun Kouga注2 in the character design. Meanwhile, Seiji Mizushima, the director of Fullmetal Alchemist, will serve as the director of the new Gundam series.

Q: The trailer appeared on June 2nd. How did the public react?

Mizushima: People responded to it quickly. The next day after the broadcast, one of my friends overheard[偶然听见] some young people talking about the next Gundam while watching the trailer on their mobile phones.

Q: Why name it “Gundam 00”?

M: It started as a temporary[暂时的] name, but it ended up

being the official title. Originally, I wanted to create a cool name, but we all forgot about it (laughs). Besides the obvious reason of starting from zero, there are other reasons. Right now it is a secret, but it will turn out to be a keyword as the story progresses.

Q: And why is this series set in the future of our world?

M: Personally, I have no deep knowledge about UC or CE. To me, it made perfect sense to make this series connected to our world. By doing this, it is easier to reflect our history and blend it with[与……融合] the anime.

Q: Setsuna F. Seiei, the main character, is a former soldier from the Middle East. This seems to echo the clash we have today.

M: I don’t know whether this problem will be solved in the future or not. If young people end up searching on the Net, trying to find out more about the issue, it would be really worth making the series. It is hard to understand people who are

living under war conditions. I want to express that in this

drama. I do believe this is a hard thing to do.

今年六月，一段长15秒的预告片在日本播出，正式宣告高达系列的最新动画片―《机动战士高达00》的到来。故事发生在公元2307年，这个时间不同于初代高达中使用的宇宙世纪纪年（UC）、《机动战士高达SEED》中使用的统一历（CE），以及另外4套之前使用过的历法系统。这将是第一次有高达动画正式发生在我们这个时代。

导演眼中的新动画

问：预告片在6月2日播出了。当时公众的反应如何？

水岛：人们对此作出了迅速的回应。播出后的第二天，我的一个朋友就无意中听见一群年轻人一边用手机看预告片，一边谈论着新的高达。

问：为什么将它命名为“高达

00”？

水岛：起初这只是一个临时的名字，结果却变成官方的正式名字了。我原本打算起一个非常酷的名字，但到后来我们全都忘了这回事（笑）。除了“从零开始”这个明显的理由以外，其实这个命名还有其它原因。现在这还是一个秘密，但随着故事的发展，这个名字将会成为动画的关键词。

问：那么，为什么这套动画要设定在我们这个世界的未来？

水岛：就我个人而言，我对宇宙世纪纪年和统一历的认识实在不太深。对我来说，把动画和我们的世界联系在一起最合情合理。这样，作品就更能反映我们的历史，并且能将历史和动画融为一体。

问：主人公刹那・F・清英之前是一名中东士兵。这似乎与我们今天面临的种种冲突有所呼应。

水岛：我不知道这个问题在将来能不能得到解决。如果年轻人最后会上网搜索，试图了解更多关于这方面的内容，那这套动画就已经很值得拍了。我们很难了解在战争中生活的人们是怎样一种景况。我希望在动画中表达这个内容。我相信这是一个非常艰巨的任务。
