Dylan Graves is1)Puerto Rico's supergrom. An2)aqua3)overachiever, he was4)ripping waves with his5)surfer family when he was only three years old. Now that he's 19, Dylan has surfed some of the biggest events and made a film with Kelly Slater.

Q: You've won some serious contests but you don't seem quite as competitive as some of the other guys. Or is that just good style?

Dylan Graves: Umm, I don't know. I don't think of competing, I'm just trying to have fun. Of course, when I'm in a heat that's a different story. I try to be as competitive as possible, but still try to6)respect the other guys in the heat.

Q: So when were you daring enough to go out to the main7)peak?

Dylan Graves: I don't remember an exact age. I remember when we were all still on the8)sandbar. And I guess my brother was the king of the sandbar, he was the oldest. And he kind of graduated and just surfed the outside and Brian went at the same time. And then I was king of the sandbar for a little bit. I followed them out there at some point but I can't remember how old we were exactly.

Q: You guys have gotten a bunch of attention at a young age. You were really young with that Kelly trip a few years back. Now you sign9)autographs. How do you deal with that?

Dylan Graves: It's pretty10)weird actually. Even after that trip, I was walking down the beach and this older lady comes up and goes, "You're that kid that went on that trip!?That was weird for me. And it's11)definitely weird to sign autographs.

问：你已经在一些大型赛事中获胜，但是你看起来并不像其他运动选手那样充满竞争性。这是否仅仅是一种优雅的风格？

迪伦・格拉夫：呃，我不知道。我对竞争不怎么在意，我只想获得一些乐趣。当然，当我头脑发热时那又另当别论。那时我的求胜心会很强，不过还是尽量尊重其他满腔热血的人。

问：那么你是什么时候才敢于冲上浪峰的？

迪伦・格拉夫：我不记得确切的年纪。我记得我们还在沙滩上的时候。我认为我哥哥是沙滩上的大王，他年纪最大。后来他毕业了就出海冲浪，与此同时布莱恩也去了。然后我有一小段时间成为沙滩上的大王。有时我跟他们去冲浪，不过我不记得当时到底多大。

问：你们这些人在非常年轻的时候就备受关注。几年前你跟凯丽拍戏时还很小。现在你要给影迷们签名了。你怎样看待这种情况？

迪伦・格拉夫：其实这种感觉很怪异。即使在拍完戏后，我还是会到沙滩上去，大姐姐们会走过来说：“你就是影片里的那个男孩啊！”那对于我来说非常怪异。签名的感觉确实很怪。
