Abstract：Scientific socialism provides proletarian with ideological weapon， which is used to lead and organize the masses to pursue socialism. The formation of socialism with chinese characteristics is the product of scientific socialism in China， which is the latest achievement combining scientific socialism and Chinese national conditions.

In 17th secretary chairman Hu Jintao believed that reform and opening up policy is the main reason for our so much achievements and progress. Because we opened up a socialism path with Chinese characteristics and formed a theoretical system of socialism. Scientific socialism has been developed in the theory and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Proletarian party was established after the creation of the scientific socialism by Marxism and Engels. After that， social movements rose in the world and were vigorously developed. Scientific socialism provides proletarian with ideological weapon， which is used to lead and organize the masses to pursue socialism. The formation of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the product of scientific socialism in China， which is the latest achievement combining scientific socialism and Chinese national conditions.

1. Socialism with Chinese characteristics is inheritance and innovation of scientific socialism

For nearly three decades， guided by Deng Xiaoping theory China entered a new period of reform and opening up. The second generation collective leadership led by Deng Xiaoping emancipated their minds and sought truth from facts. They denied the wrong theory―taking class struggle as the key link-and gave up the error practice. A path suited to China’s economic development has been explored by implementing reform and opening up policy， keeping the economic development as the central task and stressing China is still in the early stage of socialism. At the turn of century， the third generation collective leadership， comrade Jiang Zemin is at core of the whole party， led a socialist modernization construction with Chinese characteristics into the 21th century successfully by guiding all the peoples of ethnic groups. For several decades， central collective leadership， holding up the great banner of Deng Xiaoping theory， adhering to emancipate the mind， persisting in reform and opening up policy， keeping pace with the times， relying on communist party and Chinese people， has resolved all kinds of conflicts such as the political turmoil and economic risk and so on. A new situation has been created and the great project of communist party’s construction has been promoted. Since 16th congress， we， adhering to Deng Xiaoping Theory， taking the important thought of "Three Represents" as guidance， adapting to the situation at home and abroad， coping with the affairs neatly， seizing all the opportunities， integrating innovation of theory and practice， focusing on scientific development， promoting social harmony， improving the socialist market economic system， unswervingly carry forward the cause of socialism.

2. The great significance of socialism theory with Chinese characteristics in reality

Scientific socialism is like a lamp， guiding us to move forward. And it is also similar to an extending road. It can be seen as an outline of thoughts. Socialism with Chinese characteristics further develops and improves scientific socialism. As a result， the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics is formed， which is a major theoretical innovation of Marxism theory in history. It is of great significance for the world development as well as that of China. It was pointed out at 17Th CPR National Congress that our communist party would persist on the socialism road and deepen reform and opening-up policy. Targeting the prosperous， democratic and harmonious modern countries， the prospects of the reform and development were also planned. Of course， we should also realize that we are face with many challenges at home and abroad. They are as follows： a lot of new situations and problems rising at reform， development and stability， domestic and foreign affairs， national defense， governance of party， state， army and so on； new expectations and new requirements from the masses. Faced with this situation， only a great source of spiritual strength exist， can the purpose of reform， opening up policy and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation be realized. The achievements of 30 years’reform and opening up show that theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics is no doubt scientific and authentic， which is the guidelines to solve all the problems we have encountered in the reform and opening up course.
