It happened one evening that a wolf was walking by himself in a flat lonely part of the country. The sun was very low in the sky and the wolf’s shadow （影子） seemed to grow longer and longer every moment. The wolf looked at it in surprise.

Little Tommy was doing very badly in math. His parents had tried everything―tutor （家庭教师）， cards， special learning centers―in short， everything they could think of. Finally they took Tommy to a catholic （天主教的） school.
