The two parties are also going to promote the all-round coordination in the cloud computing. Baosight Software says that it will build this project with its own capital and deliver the 3752 frames to China Telecom by January 31, 2014.

This cooperation owns strategic significance as the two parties are practicing the “in-depth unification of industrialization and ICT” featuring the mutual complement of advantages and resources, the efficient interaction between core applications and the overall coordination of industrial platforms. The cooperation is within the comprehensive information service field and is oriented by the market demand.

The cooperation between two parties will boost the development of the cloud computing infrastructure in Shanghai and promote the industrial upgrade, which could drive the development of the information consumption industry.

The cooperation between China Telecom Shanghai and Baosight Software started in 2010. In February 2010, China Telecom and Baosteel Group signed a strategic cooperative agreement, according to which the two companies consider each other as the primary candidate for suppliers. They were to make use of the modern ICT to enhance the cooperation in the nationwide voice, data, wireless, video conference and virtual exclusive network. China Telecom Shanghai and Baosight were engaged in the cooperation as the main force.

By now, the cooperation has already extended from the fundamental communication to the information system, including ecommerce, logistics and industrial information. The strategic cooperation between China Telecom Shanghai and Baosteel is the example of the unification of industrialization and ICT in China.

Nowadays, the cooperation went further. As Baosteel’s board chairman Xu Lejiang says, the cooperation between China Telecom Shanghai and Baosight Software of this time is the“epitome of new industrialization”. Baosteel is going to make use of the cooperation with China Telecom to finish the change from a manufacturer to a service supplier.

Wang Li, board chairman of Baosight Software, says that his company and China Telecom Shanghai have been committed to the ICT service for Baosteel as of the start of the cooperation in 2010. Before the new agreement, the two companies had close cooperation which was good for both parties and saw good result.

He says: “The cooperation between two parties has become a good example for the similar cases in China. The upgrade of wide area network of Baosteel in China, the change of the smart voice projects in Baosteel and its subsidiary offices, the 350Mb broadband and the 3G network all helped Baosteel realize the precise and instant on-the-spot management and control, which closely conforms to the strategic idea of ‘the unification of industrialization and ICT’.”
