London Subway Stops Named After Famous Olympians

Hop on the Underground (伦敦地铁) at "Jesse Owens" station. After one stop change at "Carl Lewis", and then ride the Tube all the way to "Michael Phelps". That, sports fans, will get you from central London right to the Olympic Stadium.

The subway system in London has taken on a new look with Transport for London''''s Olympic Legends Map, which has changed the names of 361 stations to celebrate Olympians. The new map brings in famous Olympians from a variety of sports, including 2008 men''''s tennis singles gold medalist Rafael Nadal, gymnastics great Nadia Comaneci, and 1992 Dream Team players Michael Jordan and Larry Bird.

Angry Birds Land Opens in Finland

Theme park attraction Angry Birds Land has opened in Finland. It includes 12 rides, an adventure course and themed food outlets. Angry Birds developer Rovio helped the park''''s staff design the experience. Gamers will soon be able to visit the "Magic Place" attraction, where guests can somehow upgrade their mobile Angry Birds games, and also be able to meet Angry Birds characters. Park boss Miikka Seppala says, "The area is definitely a must-see destination for millions of Angry Birds players, but also a great experience for those who are not yet familiar with the game."

Columbia Janitor Gets Degree After 12 Years

For years, Gac Filipaj mopped floors, cleaned toilets and took out trash at Columbia University. A refugee from Yugoslavia (南斯拉夫), Filipaj eked out (竭力维持) a living working for the Ivy League school. But Sunday (May 13, 2012) was payback time: The 52-year-old janitor donned (身穿) a cap and gown to graduate with a bachelor''''s degree in Classics.

For Filipaj, the degree comes after years of studying late into the night in his apartment, where he''''d open his books after a 2:30?11 p.m. shift as a "heavy cleaner". Before exam time or to finish a paper, he''''d pull all-nighters (通宵), then go to class in the morning and then to work.
