Oh my God. Oh come on. Oh, oh. All right. Thank you so much, thank you, thank you!

I…When they called my name I had this feeling I could hear half of America going, “Oh, no! Oh, come on, why―her! Again!” You know? But, whatever.

First, I’m gonna thank Don, because when you thank your husband at the end of the speech they play him out with the music and I want him to know that everything I value most in our lives you’ve given me.

And, now, secondly, my other partner. Thirtyseven years ago, my first play in New York City, I met the great hairstylist and makeup artist Roy Helland. And we…we worked together pretty continuously since the day we 1)clapped eyes on each other. He…His first film with me was Sophie’s Choice, and all the way up to tonight, when he...he won for his beautiful work in The Iron Lady, 30 years later. Every single movie in between.

And…I just want to thank Roy but also I wanna thank―because I really understand I’ll never be up here again―I…I...I really wanna thank all my colleagues. All my friends. I…I look out here, and you know, it’s…I see my life before my eyes. My old friends, my new friends.

And really, this is such a great honor, but the thing that counts the most with me is the friendships and the love and the sheer joy we have shared making movies together.

My friends, thank you, all of you―departed and…and here―for this, you know, 2)inexplicably wonderful career. Thank you so much. Thank you.

You’re only two years older than me, darling. Where have you been all my life?

I have a confession to make. When I first emerged from my mother’s 3)womb, I was already rehearsing my Academy thank-you speech. But that was so long ago, 4)mercifully for you I’ve forgotten it.

But I haven’t forgotten who to thank. The Academy, of course, for this extraordinary honor, and my fellow nominees: 5)Kenneth, Nick, Jonah, dear Max. I’m so proud to be in your company. And…

Of course, I wouldn’t be here at all if it weren’t for Michael Mills and his enchanting film, Beginners.

And my screen partner of...of course, Ewan McGregor, that superb artist who I would happily share this award with if I had any 6)decency―but I don’t.

My daughter 7)Amanda, who always makes me proud. And, lastly, my longsuffering wife Elaine, who deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for coming to my rescue every day of my life.

加拿大演员克里斯托弗・普卢默（1927年12月13日―）是个横跨电影、戏剧以及电视三重领域的传奇人物。他是英语戏剧界最杰出的演员之一，也是享誉国际的影星，他参与演出的影片多达100多部，曾获得有“戏剧奥斯卡”之称的“托尼奖”（Tony Award），并多次获得艾美奖、演员工会奖、金球奖等多项提名。在第84届奥斯卡颁奖礼上，克里斯托弗・普卢默继两年前失利后再次冲击最佳男配角，并成为了奥斯卡史上最高龄的获奖者。

我得坦白地说，自我出娘胎那一刻起，我就开始预演我的奥斯卡获奖感言了。但是值得庆幸的是，时间隔得太久，我都给忘了。

但我没有把要感谢的人忘掉。当然，我要感谢电影学院，颁给我如此殊荣，还要感谢其他和我一起获得提名的演员：肯尼斯、尼克、乔纳和亲爱的马克斯。能够和你们一起接受提名，我深感自豪。同时……

当然了，要不是有迈克尔・米尔斯和他引人入胜的电影《初学者》，我压根儿就不会站在这儿。

当然，还要感谢我的银幕搭档伊万・麦克格雷格，他是个非常棒的演员，要是我有点气度的话我应该乐于和他分享这个奖――可惜我没有。

还有我的女儿阿曼达，她总是让我感到自豪。最后，还要感谢我长期备受折磨的妻子伊莱恩，是她每天都在我的人生中救赎我，为此她该得个诺贝尔和平奖。
