none和no one的用法相近，特别容易混淆，而且它们在中考试题中出现的频率相当高。现将它们的区别总结如下，希望能对同学们有所帮助。

1．none既可以代替人，也可以代替物，意为“（……中）没有一个”、“一个也没有”；而no one只能代替人，意为“没有人”。如：

I’m sorry, none of you watched carefully enough.

很遗憾，你们中没有一个仔细观察过。

―Is he interested in all the games?

―No, he likes none.

――他对所有的比赛都感兴趣吗？

――不，他一个也不喜欢。

No one knows about it.

没有人知道这件事。

2．none表示指定范围内的“没有”，常与of连用；而no one泛指“没有”，不能与of连用。如：

None of the rooms are ready.

房间都还没有准备好。

There was no one to look after the child.

没有人来照顾这个孩子。

3．none常用来回答“How many / much …?”引导的问句；而no one常用来回答“Who …?”和“What …?”引导的问句。如：

―How many fish did you catch?

―None.

――你捉到了多少条鱼？

――一条也没捉到。

―Who is in the classroom?

―No one.

――谁在教室里？

――没有人。

4．none替代不可数名词作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式；替代可数名词作主语时，谓语动词既可用单数形式，也可用复数形式。none如果侧重表示“所有的……都不”，谓语动词用复数形式；如果表示“……中一个也不”时，谓语动词用单数形式。而no one作主语时，谓语动词要用单数形式。如：

None of the students are afraid of difficulties.

所有的学生都不怕困难。

None of the students is afraid of difficulties.

没有一个学生怕困难。
