Body language of a national language reflects the lifestyle and culture behavior of this nation. Body Language Research at Home and Abroad
In the 20s of last century， publishing of Kretschmer's Physique and Character marked the formal beginning of study of body language. In 1952， Introduction to Kinesics by Birdwhistell proposed the theory of kinesics， and and since then studied on body language systematically proposed. It was the book that triggered the extensive study of the issue， and put forward a set of symbols to record Body Language. Some results were also published in China， such as Brief Statement on Body Language by Geng Erling， Action Linguistics by Zhuang Jiyu， and Cross-cultural Non-verbal Communication by Bi Jiwan.
