(The Hunger Games is going to kick off. In District 12, Katniss meets her friend, Gale, during a hunt.) Gale: What if they did? Just one year. What if everyone just stopped watching?
Katniss: They won’t, Gale.
Gale: What if they did? What if we did?
Katniss: Won’t happen.
Gale: You root for your favorites. You cry when they get killed. It’s sick.
Katniss: Gale.
Gale: If no one watches, then they don’t have a game. It’s as simple as that. What?
Katniss: Nothing.
Gale: Fine. Laugh at me.
Katniss: I’m not laughing at you.
Gale: We could do it, you know? Take off, live in the woods. It’s what we do anyway.
Katniss: They’d catch us.
Gale: Well, maybe not.
Katniss: Cut out our tongues, or worse. We wouldn’t make it five miles.
Gale: No, I’d get five miles. I’d go that way.
Katniss: I have Prim, and you have your brothers. Gale: They can come, too.
Katniss: Prim in the woods?
Gale: Or maybe not.
Katniss: I’m never having kids.
Gale: Well I might, if I didn’t live here.
Katniss: But you do live here.
Gale: I know, but if I didn’t.

(Katniss and Peeta finally defeat all the other tributes, but only one of them can live, but they decide to die together.)

(The rules of the Game are changed for the love between Katniss and Peeta. Both of them can live and be the winners of the Game.)
Host: How did you feel when you found him by that river? Katniss: I felt like the happiest person in the world. I couldn’t imagine life without him.
Host: And what about you, Peeta?
Peeta: She saved my life.
Katniss: We saved each other.
Host: Ladies and gentlemen, the star-crossed lovers from District 12, this year’s victors of the 74th Annual Hunger Games!

（凯特尼斯和皮塔最终打败了所有的“贡品”，但他们之中只有一个人能活下来。俩人决定一起死。）
皮塔：动手吧。我们中有一个人应该回家，另一个得死。他们一定要让我们分出胜负。凯特尼斯：（拿出有毒的果子）不，他们不会如愿以偿。他们凭什么？
皮塔：别那样！
凯特尼斯：相信我。相信我。
（因为凯特尼斯和皮特的爱情，游戏规则改变了。他们都活了下来，并且成了游戏的胜者。）主持人：你在河边找到他的时候，有什么感觉？凯特尼斯：我觉得我是这世上最幸福的人。我无法想象生命中没有他。
主持人：你呢，皮塔？
皮塔：她救了我的命。
