当as， though 引导让步状语从句时：若用as，句子必须用倒装句式；若用though，则句子可以用倒装也可以不用倒装。本文就两者用于倒装句式作一归纳。
基本句式结构为“名词+ as / though +主语+动词”。其中的动词也通常为连系动词，也就是说位于句首的名词是其后连系动词的表语。注意这类倒装句式的名词前习惯上不用冠词，即使有形容词修饰也不用冠词。如：
Boy as he was， he behaved like a girl. 他虽是个男孩，但举止却像个女孩。
Child though he was， he knew what was the right thing to do. 他虽然还是个孩子，但他知道什么事该做。
Fool as he looks， he always seems to make the wisest proposals. 他看样子傻，可似乎总是能提出最聪明的建议。
Quiet student as he may be， he talks a lot about his favorite singers after class. 尽管他可能是一个比较安静的孩子，但他在课后却会大谈他最喜爱的歌手。（重庆卷）
基本句式结构为“形容词+ as / though +主语+动词”。其中的动词也通常为连系动词，也就是说位于句首的形容词是其后连系动词的表语。如：
Patient as he was， he had no intention of waiting for three hours. 哪怕他再有耐心，也不打算等上三个小时。
Strange though it may seem， I don’t like watching cricket. 也许看起来很怪，我不喜欢看板球比赛。
Stupid as it sounds， I was so in love with her that I believed her. 尽管听起来很愚蠢，我是如此爱她竟然相信了她的话。
Unsatisfied though he was with the payment， he took the job just to get some work experience. 尽管他对报酬不满意，他还是为了得到一些工作经验而接受了这份工作。（重庆卷）
基本句式结构为“副词+ as / though +主语+动词”。其中的副词主要用于修饰谓语动词。如：
Sincerely as Mary loves him， he ignores her. 虽然玛丽真心爱他，但他却不理她。
He was unable to make much progress， hard as he tried. 尽管他做了努力，却未能取得很大进展。
Fast as you read， you can’t finish the book in two days. 尽管你读得很快，你总不能在两天之内就读完这本书。
Bravely though they fought， they had no chance of winning. 虽然他们打得很勇敢，但是没有可能获胜。
Hard though they tried， they couldn’t make her change her mind. 尽管他们做了很大努力，却没法让她改变主意。
Gently as her words were spoken， there was no mistaking that she was displeased. 尽管她说的话很温和，但谁都看得出她生气了。
注意，这类用法还有一个非常重要的习语much as（可以视为一个引导让步状语从句的复合连词）。如：
Much as I’d love to come， I’m afraid I won’t be able to. 虽然我很想来，但恐怕还是来不了。
Much as I’d like to help， there isn’t a lot I can do. 虽然我很乐意帮忙，但没有多少我能出力的事。
有时也说much though。如：
Much though [=as] I respect your point of view. I can’t agree. 我虽然非常尊重你的观点，但我不能同意。
基本句式结构为“动词原形+ as / though +主语+助动词”。如：
Object as you may， I’ll go. 纵使你反对，我也要去。
Try as she might， Carolina couldn’t get the door open. 尽管卡罗莱娜怎么想办法，她都未能把门弄开。（广东卷）
Look as I would up and down， I could see no human being. 我尽管望上望下，还是看不到一个人。
这类句式中用于句首的“动词原形”通常是不及物的，但有时也可能是及物动词。如：
Lose money as I did， I got a lot of experience. 钱虽然丢了，我却得到了许多经验。
Waste so much time as he did，he got a 1ot of experience. 虽然他花费了许多时间，却学到了不少经验。
Change your mind as you will， you will gain no additional support. 你即使改变主意，也不会再得到援助。
基本句式结构为“分词+ as / though +主语+助动词”。其中的分词可能是现在分词或过去分词，若是现在分词，则通常与主语后的助动词构成进行时态；若是过去分词，则通常与主语后的助动词构成被动语态。如：
Raining hard as it is， I’m going out for a walk. 虽然正在下着大雨，我还是要出去散步。
Munching the apple as he was， he had got an eye for all John’s movements. 他尽管在一个劲地嚼着苹果，但仍警惕着约翰的一举一动。
Punished as he was， he remained stubborn. 他虽然受到了惩罚，但仍然很固执。
Surrounded as we were by the enemy， we managed to march forward. 虽然我们被敌人包围着，但我们还是设法前进了。
