Abstract. Adolescence is a special period of personal growth and maturity. The mental development is not perfect and there are many mental problems. This paper analyzes the reasons for affecting the adolescent mental health problems from the two aspects of internal and external causes and puts forwards the adjusting methods of physical exercise, combined with the adolescent mental health problems.

1. The Cause analysis of Influencing adolescent

mental health

At present, the situation of adolescent mental health is not as people wish. There are a variety of problems,mainly as follows: a large portion of teenagers are under great mental pressure; not too high personality maturity degree; not sufficient self-cognitive ability, interpersonal barriers, etc. A series of mental problems have serious influence on teenagers. If people can not have correct and scientific guidance, then teenagers will have some serious thought of suicide, crime and ruining their future.

(1)Internal Factors

First, everyone is as a whole with physical and mental capabilities, which is closely associated with the genetic factors. Especially the characteristics of a person’s body,temperament, intelligence and neural process activity are greatly influenced by genetic factors.

Second,clinical research proves that the infectious diseases of central nervous system, such as typhus and epidemic encephalitis, because the neural tissue structure is affected by bacteria and viruses, the organic mental disorder or mental disorder phenomenon appears, which wil have the inhibitory effect on mental development, so as to make the intelligence appear the hysteresis or dementia phenomenon.

Third, because of many reasons, it appears brain concussion and brain contusion and other phenomena. The symptoms can appear consciousness disturbance, amnesia, speech disorder, personality change and other mental disorders. Because there are many harmful chemical substances in human body, it makes the central nervous system become affected.

Fourth, mental disorder and mental problems are mainly caused by severe somatic diseases or physiological function disorder.

(2) External Factors

First, in the adolescent personality formation and development and personality formation process, the family environment plays a very important role.

Second, school life mainly has the following aspects of content in influencing students’ mental health. Firstly, students have too much academic pressure. Through the relevant investigation, for the teenagers who need mental counseling or treatment, the teenagers who form the mental problems because of study pressure account for 30% of the total. Secondly, school education focuses on the cultivation of intelligence but repeatedly ignores students’ moral education, thinking that the adolescent mental problems are mainly the problem on the thought. Based on this, the adolescent mood, emotion, personality, self-consciousness, personality tendency, social communication, adaptation ability and other mental factors all belong to a dangerous state of spontaneous formation and blind development. Again, because there is not enough emotion and idea communication, the mental distance between teachers and students is becoming larger and larger. Finally, the poor school spirit and school discipline have a negative impact on the teenagers.

Third, in the adolescent mental health, the social environment occupies an extremely important position. The value orientation ofsociety, the public opinion guidance of various social media, increasing life stress, conflicts and intense competition—all the phenomena wil make students have greater mental pressure and their inner conflict will be increasingly intense. In this way, students’ physical and mental health will be greatly affected.

2. The Influence of Physical Exercise on

Adolescent Mental Health

(1) Physical Exercise Can Provide Material Basis for Mental Health Development

If people want to have a healthy mental development, it is necessary for people to have a healthy body. Especially in the nervous system and brain substance basis of normal and healthy development, the physical exercise can make the body have normal and healthy development, which is very important for mental health development; and also it is the necessary and important condition and basis of mental development.

(2) Physical Exercise Is the Impetus of Promoting Mental Development

Compared with other daily physical activities, physical exercise shows great similarity whether in content or in form. The original equipped mental level can not fully meet the requirement of the school projects, for example, short-distance running requires the response latency period to be short, and motion distance perception and motion speed perception must be sensitive. For example, in the dribble layup of the basketball sports, the players should have a comprehensive understanding of the team members’ positions.

(3) Physical Exercise Can Promote the Self-Development

Physical exercise plays a very important role for the teenagers to understand themselves. In most cases, P.E sports are collective and competitive activities, and the self-ability, cultivation and charm can be fully displayed and reflected in them, so that they can have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of their own truth.

(4) Physical Exercise Can Cultivate Good Quality

Typically, the fierce confrontation and intense competitiveness are two characteristics of physical exercise. When taking part in physical exercise, teenagers will have strong emotional experience and obvious will effort.

3. The Countermeasures of Physical Exercise to Promote the Mental Health of College Students

(1) Organizing Rich and Colorful Physical Activities and Targetedly Conducting Mental Health Education

Through the above statement, college physical activities play an important role in forming the mental health of college students. It needs to be emphasized that this effect seems to be realized by specific physical teaching. Thus, the promotion effect of college P.E on college students’ mental health must combine with the specific physical activity arrangement.

(2) Taking Efforts to Cultivate College Students’ Physical Ability and Providing Material Guarantee for Mental Health Development

Physical ability is a special ability, which is a personality physical and mental quality integrated body composed by physical intelligence, physical knowledge, physical technology and physical skills. This integrated body shown in physical sports is to successfully complete a series of physical activities.

(3) Adding the Content of Mental Health Education in Physical Education Course

For a long time, the P.E teaching material contents of colleges in China mostly emphasize the system and intergration of P.E knowledge and technology, resulting in too much teaching content but without enough course design of considering students’ actual needs and interests.

(4)Strengthening the Quality Construction of P.E Teachers

Students acquire most knowledge from teachers in school, and the level of teachers directly affects the students’ learning effect. The teaching art, organization practice ability and the preparation and depth of teaching knowledge of teachers in teaching determine the scope and level of students accepting information. Thus,strengthening the P.E teachers’ quality and perfecting the P.E teacher teams are the key to improving students’ P. E ability.

4. The Methods of Physical Exercise to Adjust and Treat Mental Diseases

For treating various mental diseases, physical exercise can have the following aspects of advantages:

Easy to accept and with good effect, many patients are easy to accept the exercise therapy, and they can fully integrate into the P.E sports therapy and feel relaxed and happy. The cycle is short and easy to have the effect. Using the P.E training method not only can make the mental diseases get alleviated and cured, but also can achieve the purpose of physical fitness. The treatment period is shortened without any side effects, and also the recurrence rate is relatively low.

(1)The Exercise Method of Neurasthenia

In the student groups, neurasthenia is a common nerve disease. Because the brain neural activity is in a state of extreme tension for a long time, finally it causes the excitatory and inhibitory functions of the brain not to coordinate with each other, thus producing a neurosis.

(2)The Exercise Method of Loneliness and Eccentricity Disease

The sports for treating this disease should be football, basketball, volleyball, relay race, tug of war and other community sports projects. Making students often take part in these community projects to exercise can finally improve their eccentricity personality. Finally they can communicate with their partners and love the community.

(3) The Exercise Method of Depression

This disease is the most direct and the most serious kind of disease to influence and harm the mental health, and it is also the most common symptom. It mainly refers to not having enthusiasm for their dreams and pursuits, always feeling unhappy and depressed in the day and having no passion and enthusiasm for learning and life, and feeling confused about their future. Based on this, they produce and form a sense of depression. When treating the depression, people can choose some community activity projects.

(4)The Exercise Method of Impatience and Irritability Disease

If you find youself easy to get angry, impatient and impulsive when encounting things, then you should take more part in playing the chess, Taijiquan, jogging, walking long distance, swimming, riding bikes, shooting and other slow and lasting projects.

5. Conclusion

(1) In people’s mental health, P.E can play a positive role and this role can not be replaced by other methods or means. We must make full use of the favorable condition of P.E. In P.E process, playing the role of P.E consciously can effectively promote and develop the adolescent mental health.

(2) Strengthening the scientific research efforts. Some profound theory basis and effective methods and means can be provided to physical exercise and mental treatment. Based on this, teenagers can accept the mental treatment service better in the premise of P.E.

(3)The P.E department, medical department and mental counseling department should combine to form a unity, complementing each other in the advantages and mutually cooperating with each other, which can provide more effective help to the students who have mental problems.
