Abstract: When the compress-air bottle is used it appears a phenomenon that the coagulation-water is remained in the bottle. The coagulation-water not only will diminish the dimension of the compress-air bottle but also bring chemical reaction to affect the whole intensity, resistance to pressure and life of the bottle. A new opinion is brought forward about using gas status equation to compute coagulation-water the compress-air bottle, we can gain a master of the volume of coagulation-water and improve the accuracy of measuring. It is important to use the compress-air bottle with safety.
Key words: Compress-air Coagulation-water Gas status equation.
1 Introduction
Compress-air bottle is a high-pressure gas container which is widely used in ships, chemical plants and oil refining. Water will remain in the compress-air bottle in the process of frequently inflating and deflating. And the water remained in the bottle will not only reduce the volume, but also will electrochemically erode the steel compress-air bottle. These will extensively reduce the compress-air bottle wall thickness, compress intensity and compression resistance. So research on the volume of the water in the compress-air bottle is very important and useful for the ships maintaining and safe use.
2 Reason for the forming of the water in the Compress-air bottle
Air includes wet air and dry air. Wet air contains with water vapor and dry air contains none. In nature, water in the river and ocean is vaporizing all the time, so there is always some water vapor in the air. It is so little in the air that we usually pay no attention to it. But dry air cannot be regarded as wet air when the water vapor in the air will play an important role in some condition. The air in the drying equipments, heating and aeration, temperature descending of the engine room and plant, air compression equipments is not dry air but wet air. Wet air contains with dry air and water vapor. Dry air can be regarded as ideal gas, and the water vapor in the air is mostly overheating because of the component pressure is usually small which is usually 30~40mbar. So the wet air can be regarded as ideal gas because of the specific volume of the water vapor is quite large and the distance of the molecule is far away enough. And the law and calculate formula can also be used for wet air.
pv denotes the component of pressure of the water vapor, pa denotes the component of pressure of the dry air, p denotes the chief pressure of the wet air, according to the Dalton law:
