自由命题作文的显著特点就是开放性强,主要体现在写作角度开放、文体开放等方面。自由命题作文通常只给一个话题,提供一个开头(提示性语言)或与题目相关的文字或图片。在此范围内,同学们可以自由发挥,或发表议论,或展开联想,或讲述新故事,或抒发感情。这种作文围绕一个话题,可以议论,可以记叙,可以说明,形式非常自由。这类作文能充分体现同学们的书面表达能力。
1. 认真审题,确立中心思想。自由命题作文只给了一个话题,不能直接获取很多信息。因此,首先必须看清题目要求,确定内容和体裁。
2. 准备好充分的材料,打好腹稿。把要写的内容理清思路,列成若干条,并选好适当的词、词组、句型,确定时态。
3. 语言简洁、流畅,表达清楚。写作时多用学过的熟悉的句子,尽量用简单句,少用复合句或长句,以避免意思表达不清楚。遇到自己不熟悉或拿不准的词或词组,尽量不用或换成相类似的词或词组来表达。注意英文的表达习惯,切记不能写汉语式的英文句子。
4. 反复推敲,认真誊写。写完后要进行修改,看有无遗漏,使用时态是否正确,大小写、标点符号是否规范,字数够不够等等。
