Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru gets makeover

A popular destination for the Indians, the Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru reopened after a makeover that includes a private pool in each of the resort’s 48 villas. Guests can now enjoy the luxury of their own pool and a jet pool set in the private garden area of their villa. A highlight of the hotel is the Marine Biology Lab where guests can participate in activities like reef species inventory checks and reef clean ups and reef shark conservation. The reef is perefct for snorkeling straight off the beach. You can also try local Maldivian cuisine at the beachfront Ilaafathi restaurant or star gaze with cocktails at the alfresco Naiboli bar.

Daiwik hotels start Lord Rama trail

Retracing the religious significance of Ramanathapuram district, Daiwik Hotels Private Limited launched ‘In the Footsteps of Lord Rama,’ a tour exploring the sacred locations that Lord Rama is believed to have visited. Led by Subhadra Sengupta, a historian and author, the journey rediscovers the 13 sacred locations including Shiva Temple, Tapnashan Vinayak Temple Uppur, Navagraha Tank Devipattinam, Setu Cheddukarai, Thirupullani Darbhasayanam Temple, Uthirakosamangai Temple, Ekantha Rama Temple and Viloondi Teertham.
