Half-Life 2 Goes Episodic
《半条命2》走向多部曲路线
Valve Software has revealed that Aftermath, the upcoming expansion pack to the award-winning 2004 shooter Half-Life 2, has been renamed Half-Life 2: Episode One. When asked whether the name change is indicative of a change in direction for the Half-Life 2 franchise, Valve marketing director Doug Lombardi replied, "episodic". When asked the follow-up question of whether the new name meant that beginning of a regular flow of content, Lombardi replied, "yes".

MS Saga Goes Gold

On February 10, Namco Bandai Games announced that its upcoming game, MS Saga: A New Dawn, had gone gold and would be ready to ship to stores on February 21. The PlayStation 2 game is a sci-fi role-playing game starring Tristan, a teenage orphan committed to exacting revenge on those who laid waste to his orphanage. Tristan sets about his task by hopping into a mobile suit, which can be customized with 200 interchangeable parts for specialization in a variety of attacks. The character designs were inked by Akira Yasuda, who is best known for working on the Street Fighter series. MS Saga: A New Dawn is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older, and will retail for $49.99.

New Commandos Strikes in April

The next edition of the Commandos series was once scheduled for release in 2005, but it never reached the retail battlefield. Recently, Eidos announced that Commandos: Strike Force will engage store's shelves on April 4. Unlike its strategy-based predecessors, Strike Force will adopt a first-person perspective and blend action with stealth elements. Set in Europe during World War II, the game is a series of linked missions taking place in Norway, France, and Russia. Gamers will play as a green beret, a sniper, and a spy, each having their own methods of accomplishing their objectives. Commandos Strike Force is rated T for Teen and will retail for $39.99 on consoles, and $29.99 on the PC.
